According to a 2018 CNBC publication, 70% of US college students graduate with a significant amount of debt, and collectively hold about $1.5 trillion in student loans.  Bay Atlantic University believes in high-quality, affordable education, and wants to be part of the solution towards debt-free education.

As part of our “Debt-Free Education” Initiative, BAU will offer all DC, MD, and VA metro-area residents a tuition assistance in order to reduce the burden of student loans, thus, making the remaining tuition affordable, and eliminating the student’s need to apply for financial assistance.

Who can apply for the DMV Applicants Tuition Assistance? 

All DC, MD, and VA metro-area residents (permanent residents and US citizens) are eligible.

How can I Apply for the DMV Applicants Tuition Assistance?

In addition to standard admission requirements, students interested in receiving this tuition assistance must meet the following criteria:

2. Meet the below criteria
3. Submit your scholarship essay to your admission’s officer or email it to [email protected] with the subject line: DMV Applicants Tuition Assistance / (First name) (Last name) (Degree program)

Undergraduate Applicants Must:

• Have a valid DC, MD, or VA metro-area license or identification card
• Have a CGPA of 2.5 or higher
• Complete & submit the Scholarship Essay

Graduate Applicants Must:

• Have valid DC, MD, or VA metro-area license or Identification card
• Have CGPA of 2.75 or higher
• Complete & submit the Scholarship Essay

Scholarship Essay Question:

How will you use your college education to impact your community?

Instructions: The scholarship essay should be between 500-750 words, 12 pt font, Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins, and double spaced (2.0).
