Students from Bay Atlantic University were in the heart of the capital’s innovation scene this week, attending the DMV’s largest and most anticipated tech event, DC Startup & Tech Week 2025.
The week-long conference, which ran from October 20-24, brought together thousands of founders, investors, innovators, and tech pioneers from across the region. For BAU students, it served as an unparalleled opportunity to move beyond the classroom and engage directly with the leaders shaping the future of technology and business.
Throughout the week, our students participated in a dynamic series of keynote speeches, in-depth workshops, and high-energy networking events. They gained firsthand insights from industry titans, such as Ted Leonsis of Monumental Sports & Entertainment and Seth Goldman, co-founder of JUST ICE TEA, and connected with the founders of disruptive new startups.

“It was an amazing opportunity,” said Udoka, BAU Hackathon team member and student ambassador. “Listening to the keynote speakers and then being able to network with founders and investors – it makes you realize how many resources are right here in D.C. It’s one thing to learn about startups in class, but it’s another to be in the room where those ideas are being built.”
