The Student Government Association (SGA) is the official representative body for BAU students. We advocate for student interests, promote cultural diversity, and foster collaboration between students, faculty, and administration. Through events, initiatives, and committee work, SGA strives to create an inclusive and engaging campus environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

VISION

SGA envisions a vibrant and inclusive community where every student, regardless of background, is empowered through engagement and advocacy to reach their fullest potential and contribute to a better future.

MISSION

SGA advocates for the interests and well-being of all BAU students. We serve as your voice on campus, empowering you academically, socially, and personally.

Rumi Lama is a graduate student pursuing an MS in Big Data Analytics at Bay Atlantic University. Originally from Nepal, she is dedicated to leadership, student advocacy, and campus engagement. As President of the Student Government Association, she works to represent student voices and support initiatives that enhance the student experience at BAU.

Kutay Deniz Yazicioglu is currently pursuing his master’s degree in AI Engineering at Bay Atlantic University, and he is the Vice President of the Student Government Association. Having gained experience in software engineering, data science, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, Kutay is interested in applying technology to solve practical issues and help students excel. In addition to taking part in various organizations for students, Kutay has organized many technological activities and seminars.

Daniela Ayala, originally from Colombia, holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and currently studies ESL at Bay Atlantic University. She has a passion for leadership, global perspectives, and social impact. She is committed to fostering community engagement, cross-cultural understanding, and meaningful change through education. As Secretary, she works to enhance the student experience and contribute to a stronger, more connected BAU community.

Saim Dogukan Caylas is a Software Engineering student at Bay Atlantic University and currently serves as the Treasurer of the SGA. As a new member of the executive team, he is committed to supporting student initiatives through organization, teamwork, and responsible financial management. Passionate about leadership and student engagement, he looks forward to contributing fresh ideas and helping create a stronger and more connected campus community.
