Bay Atlantic University is honored to participate in two of the region’s most anticipated cultural festivals this weekend, bringing its message of accessible, high-quality education to the diverse communities of Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.
On Saturday, July 19, 2025, Bay Atlantic University will join the 9th Annual International Colombian Festival of Washington, DC as a main sponsor. This dynamic event runs from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and celebrates Colombian independence with music, dance, art, and traditional cuisine. With a history of attracting over 5,000 attendees and media coverage from major outlets such as RCN and Telemundo, the festival has become a cornerstone of Latin American cultural pride in the nation’s capital.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to visit the Bay Atlantic University Booth #43 to learn about the university’s academic offerings, campus life in downtown Washington DC, and its robust support for local and international students.
The university’s cultural outreach continues the following day, Sunday, July 20, at the NVA Thai Street Food and Culture Festival in Annandale, Virginia. From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, visitors can enjoy Thai food, music, crafts, and performances while connecting with Bay Atlantic University representatives. The university is proud to participate at Booth #46 and share its educational mission with festival attendees.
One of the key highlights will be Bay Atlantic University’s 2025 DMV Applicants Tuition Assistance Program, which offers up to 60 percent off tuition to eligible students residing in Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia. U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other eligible residents are all encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity, which is valid through Fall 2025.
Attendees will also learn about Mentora College, the university’s English language division, which offers 10-week TOEFL and IELTS preparation courses both online and in person. With small class sizes, expert instructors, and official test site availability, these programs are ideal for international students and working professionals preparing for university admissions or employment. Students enrolling in Mentora programs are also eligible for the Presidential Award, a tuition discount of up to $1,200 annually in celebration of the university’s 10th anniversary. This award is valid through December 2025.
Bay Atlantic University invites all guests to stop by its booths at both festivals to explore educational pathways, scholarship opportunities, and programs that make college more accessible than ever before.
