President Dr. Sinem Vatanartiran represents BAU at Coursera’s Future of Higher Education Summit
Dr. Sinem Vatanartiran, President of Bay Atlantic University, recently attended the Future of Higher Education Summit (FOHE), hosted by Coursera at their headquarters in Mountain View, California. She received an exclusive invitation to represent BAU courtesy of Coursera’s CEO, Jeff Maggioncalda. Dr. Sinem joined other leaders in higher education from around the country to discuss current trends and future possibilities.
Over the course of two very busy days, Dr. Sinem and the other FOHE guests met with leaders from Coursera as well as its partners, including IBM and Meta. Artificial Intelligence was a major focus at the Summit, with keynote talks, breakout discussions, and interactive workshops dedicated to the impact AI is having and will continue to have on higher education. Other important topics included exploring new ways to prepare students for successful careers and to provide them with additional opportunities to earn course credit and industry certifications through the Coursera platform.
