Accreditation
Bay Atlantic University (BAU) is Licensed by the District of Columbia Education Licensure Commission, certified to operate as an institution of higher education by the Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC) of the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) of Washington, D.C.
BAU is accredited by ACICS – Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Bay Atlantic University has submitted an application to become accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). This application does not constitute accreditation, nor does it indicate a likelihood of eventual accreditation. Questions about the application or accreditation process should be directed to the President of the Commission.
SEVP: BAU is authorized by SEVP to issue I-20 forms to international students.
On behalf of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) manages schools, non-immigrant students in the F visa classifications and their dependents.
