CO-CURRICULAR SERVICES

Student services offer co-curricular services like English/writing tutorials, academic workshops, and field trips.

Writing Tutorials

BAU aims to provide undergraduate and graduate students with the support to help them improve their academic writing skills. In order to provide this service, BAU works with Mentora College. Teachers at Mentora are qualified in this field to provide support on rhetoric and style, remedial grammatical instruction, and general writing techniques. BAU is offering tutorial classes for English grammar, speaking and writing every Monday, known as Tutorial Mondays.

If you are interested, please email Seth G. Read before the end of the week at [email protected] and inform him of the time and the skills you would like to work on.

Field Trips

BAU provides field trips to the US Capitol, business headquarters, and other locations in the Washington, DC area that are relevant to your field of study. Please email [email protected] for more information.

Academic Workshops

The Director of Student Services and the Career Counselor/ Student Life Coordinator organize academic workshops on a bi-weekly basis. Routine workshops include topics such as note-taking skills, study skills, motivation, proper citation and plagiarism, and research methodologies. An additional set of specialized workshops are offered each semester.
