Dear BAU Community,
As we welcome the arrival of spring in Washington, D.C., the blooming cherry blossoms remind us that this season is one of renewal, growth, and new opportunities. The same spirit of transformation is alive at Bay Atlantic University, where our students, faculty, and staff continue to inspire with their passion, dedication, and achievements.
Bay Atlantic University, in partnership with the Global Policy Institute, successfully hosted the 10th International Government Relations Forum on March 27th in Washington, D.C.
Throughout the month of March, Bay Atlantic University partnered with the Global Policy Institute to host a series of impactful events. From “The Power of Listening: Culture, Communication, and Conflict Resolution” with Rev. Mark Farr to a timely discussion on “U.S.–Russia Talks: Lessons from Afghanistan & Zelenskyy’s Future,” these sessions sparked meaningful dialogue on global issues. We’re proud to continue creating spaces for learning, reflection, and thought leadership at BAU.
Our Ramadan Dinner brought students, faculty, and staff together to celebrate reflection, unity, and cultural appreciation. It was a meaningful gathering that highlighted the diversity that strengthens our BAU community.
We celebrated Mardi Gras with signature foods, colorful mask-making, and learning about the holiday’s rich traditions. It was great to see so many students engaging in this fun and cultural event.
We welcomed the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) for an important visit. Their team appreciated the hospitality, professionalism, and engagement of our students, faculty, and staff.
Our Bay Atlantic University students had the opportunity to enjoy a special lunch with our president, Dr. Sinem Vatanartiran. More than just a meal, it was a space for open dialogue, shared insights, and meaningful connection. Dr. Sinem listened intently, engaged with care, and shared an inspiring message about striving for excellence, embracing leadership, and upholding the value of merit in everything we do. Moments like these remind us of the vibrant and supportive community we’re proud to be part of at BAU.
Looking Ahead to Graduation
As the semester progresses, we are preparing to celebrate one of the most important milestones—graduation. In just a few months, we will recognize the dedication and achievements of our graduating students. Their hard work has led them to this moment, and we are excited to see them take the next step toward their future goals.

At the same time, we remain committed to academic excellence and career readiness by launching the Master of Science in Data Science and Public Policy. We will also continue expanding our international network and nurturing the diverse and talented individuals who make up our BAU community.
