Washington, D.C. – February 25, 2025 – Bay Atlantic University (BAU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Schneider, a seasoned senior communications executive, to its Board of Trustees. His appointment will help support BAU’s mission of providing high-quality education, fostering innovation, and strengthening the university’s presence both in Washington, D.C. and globally.
“Michael’s leadership in corporate communications, reputation management, and strategic communications will be a tremendous asset to BAU as we continue to grow and extend our impact,” said Dr. Sinem Vatanartiran, President of Bay Atlantic University.
Schneider currently serves as Principal of Global Communications at Axtria, a leading data science and software firm, where he leads global communications. Throughout his career, he has held senior communications positions at globally recognized companies, including Global Crossing, ADP, Fiserv, Genpact, and Analog Devices. He has led communications during pivotal moments, including mergers and acquisitions, executive transitions, and major new initiative launches, and is renowned for his ability to align organizational messaging with stakeholder needs, safeguard reputations, and drive impactful brand strategies.
Schneider’s ability to navigate complexity, inspire teams, and create compelling narratives makes him an invaluable asset in driving organizational success and building enduring reputations.

In addition to his executive roles, Schneider has served as an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Drew University, and Rutgers University, where he has shared his expertise in corporate communications. He holds a B.A. in Communications from Rutgers University.
