In an exciting development for collaborative academia, Bay Atlantic University (BAU) has received an exclusive invitation from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL) to become an Associate Partner in the DIVERSE Alliance consortium, dedicated to Digital and Innovative Venture Science Education for Resilient and Sustainable Entrepreneurship. This consortium is comprised of 12 prestigious European universities spanning 11 countries, including Griffith College, Ireland; Algebra University, Croatia; Universidad Europea del Atlántico, Spain; PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Belgium; TH Rosenheim, Germany; SMK University of Applied Sciences, Lithuania; Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Finland; Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm, Germany; Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands; George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Targu Mures, Romania; Istanbul Beykent University, Turkey; and Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa.
The overarching objective of the DIVERSE Alliance is to enhance scientific excellence by fostering the creation of impactful and economically sustainable products, services, processes, and solutions. This collective effort aims to reinforce the economic prosperity and strategic autonomy of the European Union, with a direct emphasis on improving the well-being of its citizens.
“In addition to the 12 Full Member universities, the consortium should bring together “Associated Institutions” that can enhance its objectives and the transfer and application of knowledge to the Community, thus forming a vast transnational network that acts as a facilitator of “Applied Sciences” at international level and contributes to economic and social progress based on scientific and technological evolution and innovation,” stated LUIS TOMÉ, Director of OBSERVARE-Observatory of Foreign Relations at UAL, in the exclusive invitation.
This partnership not only elevates BAU’s global academic standing but also opens the door to potential participation in European sub-projects developed in collaboration with UAL and other member universities. As an associate partner, BAU stands poised to actively contribute to the consortium’s objectives, collaborating with peers from around the continent.
