Wednesday, September 21, 2022 | 1–2 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time

This session centers around the idea that measuring and tracking well-defined student learning outcomes can lead to improved curriculum and instruction, and in turn, better learning. Once you have established continuous improvement goals, where and how do you start? The first step is clearly and carefully defining what your students are expected to know, understand and be able to do. We will explore how to bring faculty and stakeholders together to agree upon clear, well-established student learning objectives.

This session will answer:

What are SLOs and why are they important?
How are SLOs defined?
What makes a good SLO?
How to make SLOs meaningful?
How do SLOs and assessment fit together?
