DC Public Schools (DCPS) High School students and Adult Charter Schools students have the opportunity to participate in dual enrollment program for free of charge. Through Dual Enrollment, students can take college courses that are not offered at their school, while earning college credit that can be transferred to many postsecondary institutions.
Tuition is waived for DCPS students who participate the dual enrollment program. The Fall 2022 application opens March 3rd, 2022 and due on April 1st, 2022.
OSSE’s DC Dual Enrollment Program
The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is committed to providing high-quality dual enrollment opportunities for students in both public and public charter schools in the District of Columbia. Dual enrollment allows high school students to experience the academic rigor of college courses, and understand what is required for success in college. High school students participating in the District of Columbia Dual Enrollment Program enroll in approved college courses at postsecondary institutions for earning college and/or high school credit.
Bay Atlantic University is offering eligible students the opportunity to take courses as a partner of the DC Dual Enrollment Program.
Who Can Apply?
BAU is offering Dual Enrollment Program for
DCPS High School Seniors and adult charter school students seeking GED. Students must be 1) DCPS public or public charter school students and 2) residents of the District of Columbia.
Students must have minimum 145 GED Ready scores.
How to Apply
Step One: To begin your application click “New Application” and complete
Part 1 of the application at:

Step Two: If you are determined eligible, you will receive an email link to complete
Part 2 of the application and will need to upload the following documents:
- Your transcript and/or current report card
- Copy of your SAT or ACT scores (If the Student has taken the exam.) and most recent GED Ready Report if appropriate.
- Personal statement/essay (See the prompt here.)
- Letter of recommendation from high school teacher (only 1 required)
- Counselor or Principal Recommendation Form
- Signed Released of Information Form (with a parent or legal guardian’s signature)
- Completed Dual Enrollment Consortium application
