Bay Atlantic University hosts Inaugural BAUTalks Event with Professor Vivek Prasad, Ph.D.
On March 21, Bay Atlantic University hosted the first event in its BAUTalks series, with BAU Professor Vivek Prasad, Ph.D. as the featured presenter. In this exclusive event for members of the BAU community, Dr. Vivek shared his experiences conducting his ongoing research in a talk titled, “Moving the “Bottom of the Pyramid” up: An Application of Research and Data Analysis.”
The excited group of Bay Atlantic University students and staff members in attendance gained insights about data visualization and analysis, and many were also inspired to consider the impacts they can make on the world around them through their dreams and passions. “Participating in BAUTalks was an enlightening experience,” commented Minh T., a BAU staff member. “Dr. Vivek broadened my understanding of data analytics and encouraged me to explore new ideas and perspectives in my own field of computer science.”
This was the inaugural BAUTalks event, with plans already being made for future talks with an emphasis on sharing new ideas, generating excitement about education and learning, and highlighting the successes of BAU and its community members.
