BAU Celebrates Class of 2022 at Commencement Ceremony
Bay Atlantic University celebrated the Class of 2022 at the University’s Commencement during a ceremony at National Press Club in downtown Washington DC on Monday, May 16, 2022. During the ceremony, 41 students walked across the stage to mark the completion of their bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The Commencement address was delivered by Deandra Coleman, CEO, Beyond The C-Suite & BAU Class of 2016. She said “Do not squander the opportunity. Life will happen, road blocks will happen. Make the most out of the opportunities. After you have done all that you can, rest, and rest unapologetically. That is the one thing that would keep you going.”

BAU Board of Trustees Chair Linda F. Robertson, Ph.D. and Sinem Vatanartiran, PhD, President of Bay Atlantic University, offered the Class of 2022 encouraging, inspiring messages to carry with them from the day.
After Valedictorian Alina Eresheeva’s speech, Professor of Economics Mehmet Goksu, PhD received “Faculty of the Year” award from President Vatanartiran.
